My Chronic Illnesses
My first chronic illness hit when I was about 15 and I was diagnosed with an under-developed ovary and PCOS (Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome). I was also informed, at 15, that I would probably never have children. HA! Proved them wrong!
Chronic Illness #2 kind of snuck up on me. Mild aches and pains here, pinching and stabbing pains there. Oh, I’m just old and fat, right? Well, the pain continued to increase as more symptoms manifested. I finally had to see the doctor and go through, what I swear was every medical test created, to find out that I have Fibromyalgia and honestly, it’s a fancy name for they don’t know what the hell is ACTUALLY wrong with my body.
